Best Family Shows and Movies to Stream in February

February is here and with that means the cold weather is upon us. If you’re hibernating indoors and looking for something to watch while your kids are home from school or on your next family movie night, we’ve got you covered.

This month, the streaming services feature plenty of new episodes of your kid’s favorites and some that you won’t mind watching as well. Here are our picks for what you should watch with your family this month.

Orion and the Dark

This animated film is about a young boy named Orion that is afraid of almost everything, including the dark. He goes on a journey to overcome all of the fears.

The Tiger’s Apprentice

This animated fantasy film is based on the 2003 novel with the same name. The film is about a young boy named Tom who meets an unlikely mentor – a tiger named Mr. Hu.

The Marvels

Streaming Feb. 7, 2024

  • Where to watch: Disney+

Captain Marvel’s powers get entangled with a super-fan and they team up with Carol’s niece to become “The Marvels.”

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (Season 1)

Streaming Feb. 14, 2024

Watch young jedis Kai, Lys and Nubs when they are sent to train at the Jedi temple by Master Yoda.

Giannis: The Marvelous Journey

Streaming Feb. 19, 2024

This documentary features the first-person account of NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and his life. Learn how he went from the streets of Athens to becoming an NBA champion.

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

Streaming Feb. 20, 2024

The movie is based on the book about 16-year-old Ruby Gillman. She finds out why her parents have been overprotective and why they forbid her from going into the water. 

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Streaming Feb. 21, 2024

Four turtle brothers from New York are fascinated by the human world. After they meet their new friend, April O’Neil, they find out that not all humans are as bad as they’ve been told. 

Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 1)

Streaming Feb. 22, 2024

This live action series, based on the animated series with the same name, follows 12-year-old Avatar Aang as he attempts to master all four elements – fire, water, earth and air.

Iwájú (Season 1)

Streaming Feb. 28, 2024

  • Where to watch: Disney+

This animated original is set in Lagos, Nigeria, in the future. It follows the coming-of-age story of a young girl named Tola.
