Halloween Treats to Devour in Metro Detroit

When you think of Halloween, you think of trick-or-treating, haunted houses, scary movies and eating plenty of candy and others treats. If you’re looking for something sweet for your next Halloween party or if you’re making a boo basket, then check out these Halloween treats in metro Detroit.

Cheat Treats

This dessert shop is offering a spooky lineup of Freakshakes. Their flavors are Pumpkin Pie Freakshake, Apple Pie Freakshake, Blueberry Pie Freakshake and the Witches Cauldron Freakshake. Each of their seasonal Freakshakes are $12.

Cold Truth

This spot makes their soft serve ice cream from scratch and it happens to be vegan, as well. For Halloween, try their bläk vanilla (like regular vanilla, but evil), zombie fingers, pumpkin praline in murder cones. There’s also no charge for googly eyes to be added.

Indulge in October’s trio of seasonal cookie delights. There is Vampire Blood with red velvet, Nutella and chocolate chips. Reese’s x Cheesecake features creamy cheesecake and chopped Reese’s cups, and then there’s the Pumpkin Cider Donut with cinnamon sugar donuts and pumpkin pie, all mixed into their signature dough.

Enjoy a ghoulishly delightful array of Halloween donuts to embrace the season. The delectable creations they offer are a ghost, Frankenstein, spider, zombie, mummy, monsters and more.

House of Chimney Cakes

The Dearborn dessert shop’s Halloween Chimney Cakes are monster-themed, devil-themed and Nightmare Before Christmas-themed. They will also be offering Harry Potter-themed desserts including a Butter Beer Milkshake, Butter Beer Latte, Harry Potter ice cream creation and more Halloween-themed desserts.

JoJo’s Shake Bar

Visit JoJo’s Pumpkin Patch for some pumpkin painting and photo opportunities and enjoy one of their fall-themed milkshakes. The Cowboy Shake is chocolate Rocky Road, cowboy cookie, chocolate haystack and chocolate covered potato chip. The Pumpkin Patch Shake is pumpkin graham cracker, toasted marshmallow, taffy apple, pumpkin pie and toffee pretzel.

Kookys N Cream

This bakery has a fall-themed line-up with mini pumpkin pie cookies, pecan pie cookies, cookie pops (like cake pops, but cookies), Monster Moon Pies, Death by Chocolate Cookies and Pumpkin S’mores. 

Le Detroit Macaron

Le Detroit Macaron’s Halloween specials are Witches Brew (black with multicolored buttercream), Oreo Cookie Dough (orange with bats), Mummy (white chocolate cranberry) and Candy Corn (white and yellow shells).

M Street Baking Company

Their Halloween-themed and fall-themed shakes are Pumpkin Pie (made with real pumpkin), Cookies & Scream (made with Oreos) and Cinnamon Sugar Donut (made with real cinnamon sugar donuts inside). There are also locations inside Great Lakes Crossing Mall and Twelve Oaks Mall.

Oberweis

For their Halloween treat this year, Oberweis is offering the Bat Brew ice cream flavor, a bewitching blend of cake batter ice cream, brimming with Oreo cookie pieces and dollops of ghostly frosting

Street Sweets Bakery 

They will offer a variety of treats this year for Halloween – including their pumpkin spice parfait. The treats will vary by day, so make sure to check their website or Instagram beforehand.
