Dinosaurs are on the move at the Henry Ford! Beginning Sunday, June 9, visitors can experience Dinosaurs in Motion, the museum’s newest temporary exhibition.
Dinosaurs in Motion is an interactive exhibit featuring 16 life-size metal dinosaur sculptures made of recycled materials. Guests can use levers, pulleys and touch screens to make the dinosaurs move and come to life.

Eleven of the exhibit’s sculptures are moveable, including a T. rex whose jaw opens using pulleys and levers, and a Plesiosaur that swims at the tap of a touch screen controller. Guests will learn how dinosaurs moved through hands-on activities that incorporate elements of engineering, science, tech and sculpture.
Throughout the exhibit, you’ll also find sketches, metalworking and more from the work of artist John Payne and paleontologist Dr. Mark Norell, the two experts that brought Dinosaurs in Motion to life.
