June is Pride Month, and metro Detroit and Ann Arbor families can celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community with a variety of pride month events in metro Detroit this summer.
Here are some of our favorite happenings in metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and beyond for Pride 2024.

Pride Events in Macomb County
Pride Storytime at Mount Clemens Public Library
June 1, 2024
- Address: 150 Cass Ave., Mount Clemens
- Cost: Free
Join Mx. Mari for songs, stories and a craft to kick off Pride Month. For all ages.
Pride in the Park & Movie at Veterans Memorial Park
July 18, 2024
- Address: 27325 Barkman St., Roseville
- Cost: Free
This festival features a music, kids craft area, selfie stations, yard games, food vendors and local businesses. The movie will begin at 8 p.m. The first 100 guests will receive a gift.
Pride Events in Oakland County
Ferndale Pride
June 1, 2024
- Address: Downtown Ferndale area
- Cost: Free
This festival celebrates the progress made by the LGBTQIA community through music, stage performances, vendors, a kids area, food trucks and more. There is also a children’s area that hosts a variety of activities for kids of all ages including a confetti drop, climbing wall, Reading with Royalty and a creativity zone.
Family Pride at the Farmers Market at Royal Oak Farmers Market
June 12, 2024
- Address: 316 E. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak
- Cost: Free admission
Families can come by Royal Oak Farmers Market for a fun-filled day to celebrate Pride. There will be local food trucks, live performances and tons of kids activities. Kids activities include bounce houses, a craft table, balloon art and face painting.
Pride in the Park at Rochester Municipal Park
June 22, 2024
- Address: 400 6th St., Rochester
- Cost: Free
Formerly called “Rochester Pride,” this event features live music, vendors, guest speakers and a march through downtown Rochester.
Pride Events in Washtenaw County
Ypsi Pride 2024
June 7, 2024
- Address: Cross Street between River and Huron and the Freighthouse, Ypsilanti
- Cost: Free
Sport your rainbow gear for the Pride event. There will be local vendors, live entertainment on two stages, family-friendly events and more.
Zion Pride: Donation Based Yoga at Riverside Park
June 9, 2024
- Address: 2 E. Cross St., Ypsilanti
- Cost: $25/donation
Raise money for Stand with Trans, a local mental health nonprofit. Enjoy an all-levels yoga class, live music, mental health resources and more.
Pride Events in Wayne County
Motor City Pride Fest at Hart Plaza
June 8-9, 2024
- Address: 1 Hart Plaza, Detroit
- Cost: $5/admission, free/ages 12 and under
Motor City Pride is known as Michigan’s largest pride celebration with over 50,000 participants in their pride events. Festival-goers gather here yearly to celebrate the LGBTQIA community at this weekend event. The parade portion will take place on Sunday at this summer festival.
GP Pride 2024 by WE GP
June 15, 2024
- Address: Downtown Grosse Pointe
- Cost: Free
Families can enjoy a walk around downtown Grosse Pointe for Pride-themed activities. There will also be a family-friendly drag performance, selfie station, crafts, activism opportunities and more.
