Other activities
If you don’t want to head to a busy parade route, you can still commemorate the day by talking to your kids about the origins of Memorial Day and the sacrifices of soldiers.
Read a kid-friendly Memorial Day book, research and share your family’s military history or write a letter to a veteran. What a great opportunity to talk to your kids about patriotism! Find more ideas to commemorate Memorial Day with kids.
