ABCmouse
Use this website free for 30 days to see if it’s something your little will enjoy using. It is great for children ages 2-8. It features more than 850 lessons and ten levels for children to work through. You can also download it on your phone or tablet to take on the go.
The reading curriculum features more than 450 books and goes over other things such as upper and lowercase letters, phonics, parts of speech, sentence structure and rhyming words. Also, the site features curriculum for math, science, social studies, and art and colors.
ABCya!
This website features educational games for grades PreK to sixth grade and beyond. It also has many worksheets you can use to go along with them. They focus on reading, language arts, art and music, math games, multiplication, science, social studies, typing and writing.
Between the Lions Early Learning
Kids can watch videos from the PBS series, “Get Wild About Reading.” The videos for Preschool are grouped by book and print awareness, language and vocabulary development, letter knowledge awareness and phonological awareness. The videos for grades K-1 are grouped by text comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, phonemic awareness and phonics.

This digital library is great for grades PreK-grade 12 with print-related disabilities such as dyslexia, blindness and cerebral palsy. Young readers in grades K-5 can enjoy reading a compilation of nonfiction similar to National Geographic magazine. Their free resource library features articles, photographs, maps, infographics, videos and assessments.
Free Children’s Stories
This website was founded in 2008 by Daniel Errico, a former mechanical engineer and creator of the award-winning Hulu Original Series, “The Bravest Knight.” He has a list of books for your child to choose from that he has written. He makes searching easy for kids and parents by having options to browse by age and by rhyming and non-rhyming stories.

This digital library features books from all around the world. It is great for older kids that can read on their own because it does not have a “read out loud” option. You can search the books by language, genre, format and more.
Oxford Owl
Register for a free account on their website to access more than 250 children’s audio books. It also features games, activities and advice for parents and teachers using it. It is great for kids ages 3-11.

Children can learn and love reading by playing games. There are reading games, phonics games and sight word games in the reading realm. There are also math and writing games, too. It’s great for grades PreK to eighth grade. Kids can also follow along with guided story books, enjoy bedtime stories and use practice sheets that are great for learning.

This reading program offers a free portion and a premium service with more options. It is broken up by PreK and Kindergarten and grades 1-3. The free content includes reading activities, animated songs, mathematics and more.
Storyline Online
Hear from celebrated actors as they read from children’s books. Readers include Oprah Winfrey, Connie Britton, Viola Davis, Betty White, Chris Pine, Jennifer Garner, Terry Crews and many more. It’s available 24 hours a day and each book comes with a free activity guide and can be viewed on YouTube or SchoolTube.
If you’re looking for a particular book, you can search by title, author, reader, run time and even publisher. They are always adding new books to the website, so make sure to check often. You can also download their app for either Apple or Android so your child can hear a story on the go.

This website features a variety free audio stories including fairytales, classic, myths and world, poems and music, educational and original stories. The text on the site makes it easy for kids to follow along while it’s being read.
