Tips when visiting the Motown Museum with kids 

  • Arrive early. Get there at least 15 minutes before your tour to check in and avoid delays.
  • No strollers allowed. Pack light and consider a baby carrier for little ones. Wear comfortable shoes.
  • Tours last one hour. Keep in mind how long your child can stand before booking your visit.
  • Photos allowed, videos not. You can take pictures, but videography is prohibited inside the museum.
  • Exhibits change regularly. The museum is expanding, so there’s always something new to see.
  • Plan for parking. Street parking is available—download the Park Detroit app for easy payment.
  • Accessible for all. The museum has ramps, elevators, and wheelchair-accessible restrooms.
