Looking for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts that skip the big store crowds and won’t drain your wallet?

You’re in the right place! This holiday season, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties are full of craft shows and holiday markets. You can find many pop-up boutiques with a variety of handmade treasures.

Most of these events have activities for kids, holiday-themed food and drinks, visits with Santa Claus and lots more.

The Tuesday market mainly has food vendors. The Sunday market offers many gift options made in Michigan.

Enjoy shopping from local vendors and artisans, holiday lights, ice sculptures, live entertainment and more. The tree lighting will happen at 6 p.m. on Dec. 6. It will include Santa Claus, carolers, and the lighting of a 41-foot tree. The tree will have over 40,000 LED lights.

Detroit Urban Craft Fair at Masonic Temple

Dec. 7-8, 2024

  • Cost: $5/admission, free/ages 12 and under after 1 p.m.

With over 100 handmade crafters and indie artists, this fair lets shoppers discover unique items and meet the makers.
