Metro Detroit’s Top Candy Stores to Make Your Kid’s Day

Whether you’re planning a kids party, shopping for a holiday or just have a sweet tooth in the family, the metro Detroit area has plenty of local candy shops to satisfy your cravings.

Make a stop at one of these local sugar dispensaries and watch your kids’ eyes light up as they explore a place they may have thought only existed in their dreams.

Alpine Chocolat Haus

Champagne Chocolates

This local favorite in downtown Mount Clemens has been handcrafting chocolates in eastern Michigan for more than 25 years. It sells chocolates, toffees, hand-dipped candies, barks and more.

Eleanor’s Sweets and Sodas

This shop offers a variety of candies from the U.S. and countries all over the world. Shop more than 60 flavors of jelly beans, candy bars and gum. Lollipops, hard candies, licorice and even low sugar or sugar-free options available. It also has hand-made Italian sodas, which are made from all-natural syrups and are caffeine free.

Janco Distributors

Also known as Mr. Leddy’s Candy Store, Janco has been open since 1928 and offers candy, snacks and beverages. The store offers candy on a wholesale basis open to the public. 

Juliet Chocolate Factory

This family-run chocolate factory carries a variety of dark, milk and white chocolates, hard candies, fudge and caramel apples, which are made fresh to order.

Kemnitz Fine Candies

For more than 50 years, Kemnitz has offered a wide range of chocolates including award-winning cherry cordials and a large variety of candies. The shop focuses on customer service and makes all products with fresh, hand-selected ingredients.

Kilwin’s Chocolate Shoppe

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Sydney Bogg’s Sweet Essentials
