Metro Detroit has some really great donut spots for families to try. If you’re looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth, check out these donut shops that are sure to do the trick.

A lot of these places have unique flavors using cereal or other sweet treats. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can create your own donuts at home.

Bayview Bakery

Blake Farms

Blake Farms donuts are great, but their seasonal donut flavors are even better. Make sure to try their strawberry, cherry, lemon, blueberry and lavender donuts, which are all available at different times throughout the summer.

Daily Dozen 

This donut shop was started in 1985 in Warren. They offer over 45 varieties of donuts, so there is something everyone will love.

Delightful Donuts & Cupcakes

East Detroit Bakery & Deli

Golden Donuts 

This donut shop was established in 1989. It features over 50 donut varieties every day. They also offer freshly made cannolis, cheesecakes, cookies and more.

Mannino’s Bakery

This classic Italian bakery is a must-visit destination. It provides a range of treats including donuts, cakes, cupcakes and cannolis.

Militello’s Bakery

This family-owned bakery and deli has been around for over 40 years. They serve amazing cakes, pies, bread, donuts and other bakery items.

Palm Sweets

Shelby Donuts

Paris Baguette

Try this spot’s new croissant donut made with Nutella and the chocolate hazelnut latte made with Nutella. Benny’s Bakery 👑 (Our Readers’ Favorite!)

This bakery in downtown Saline is most well-known for its cakes, cookies, breads, bagels and pies, but they have some great donut options as well. They have plenty of cake donut and yeast donut flavors to choose from. The cake donut flavors include plain, peanut, cinnamon sugar, dunkers, powdered and chocolate frosted. On Wednesdays, they have plain sour cream and glazed sour cream donuts and on Fridays, they have Devil’s food donuts. Also, pumpkin cake donuts are available during the fall. The yeast donut flavors include glazed, cinnamon twist, cinnamon swirl, sugar, apple fritter, chocolate frosted, strawberry filled, lemon filled, raspberry filled, custard filled, sprinkled, chocolate frosted long johns, vanilla frosted long johns, maple frosted long john and maple walnut. Personalized, decorated and specialty donuts are available by request, as well as their large sharable donut. On Saturdays, they offer freshly made soft pretzels, too.

Chelsea Bakery 

This bakery offers cookies, pretzels, donuts and pastries. 

Dimo’s Deli & Donuts

Dimo’s offers a choice of regular donuts and specialty donuts, along with breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, Mediterranean specialties and more.

DJ’s Bakery

This bakery offers customers a diverse selection of donuts, ranging from classic old-fashioned and glazed to chocolate and sprinkled varieties. Additionally, the menu includes tempting options like brownies and muffins.

Dom Bakeries

Donut varieties here range from cake donuts to filled, raised, cinnamon rolls and apple fritters. Other baked goods they offer are cookies, bagels, brownies, croissants, danishes and muffins.

Dozer Coffee

Try their house-roasted coffee along with a donut from Dooped Donuts or other fresh pastry.

Mochinut Ann Arbor

This establishment boasts an array of the trendiest mochi donuts, available in a variety of flavors such as yogurt, churro, coffee, matcha, peanut butter and more. Additionally, the bakery offers delightful soft-serve ice cream options, including original, melon, strawberry lemon and honey butter. For added convenience, customers can place orders online.

Peace, Love and Little Donuts of Ann Arbor

This charming little donut shop is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth and offers a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The retro-themed decor, complete with tie-dye colors and groovy music, creates a fun and laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, catch up with friends or simply enjoy some delicious donuts. This family-owned and operated bakery and coffee shop has been in Redford since 1988. They offer raised donuts in flavors such as honey dip, strawberry icing and apple fritter or cake donuts in flavors such as white coconut, jelly stick, chocolate cake, sour cream and peanut.

Donutville U.S.A.

Since 1966, this establishment has been providing its customers with freshly made and delicious donuts. Operating daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., it’s no surprise that this venue earned the title of “Best Donut Shop” for years in WDIV’s “4 the Best” contest. They offer an array of flavors, including chocolate, cherry cake, red velvet and even peanut donuts for those seeking a more adventurous donut experience.

Dooped Donuts
