Center Line may be small — just under two square miles, in fact. But this Macomb County city offers some great little gems for metro Detroit families to explore.

A quick Center Line history lesson

Did you know? Center Line is thought to have gotten its name from the early French population in Michigan, when it was the crosspoint of three Native American trails used by the Potawatami tribe.

The “center line” trail stretched from Detroit to Utica, and was finally adopted as the name for the city’s establishment in the early 18th century.
